Lying In The Snow

February 11, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

Having been out with Ken and Anand I had to drive from Bridlington to Malton to the office to drop some keys off. As I came across the Yorkshire Wolds there had been a hoar frost which coupled with the clear crisp blue sky and the snow on the ground gave a lovely view. I stopped the car near Burton Fleming when I saw the shot I wanted. Unfortunately to get that shot meant lying in the snow! At -8 degrees air temperature it was very very cold down there so I worked quickly, setting the camera and tripod up beforehand. I used a circular polariser to keep the sky blue and a 2 stop ND grad for the sky. A couple of shots later I had the one I wanted, I was cold, and wet, but the I reckon it was worth it, I hope you agree.
